Hitchin Fitness Festival 2015

By: Dave Wheeler

Saturday August the 1st sees the return of Hitchin's Fitness festival in Bancroft Gardens.

After the sucess of last year's innaugral FitFest, this year returns bigger and better, thanks to the town centre Hitchin Initiative and the Pilates Pod.

I'll be there offering 10 minute massages in return for a donation to Age UK.

Though I like to think that I'll be the highlight of the FitFest, I suspect I'm in a minority, so in the interests of fairness, here are some of the other things going on:

  • Skills practice from England Netball Association.
  • Beat the goalie & kids skills with Hitchin Football Club.
  • Yoga from Shanti Warrior Yoga
  • Pilates Mattwork with Pilates Pod
  • Boxing circuits from XChange Fitness
  • Taekwondo demo by HSTS
  • Dancing from JS Dance Academy
  • A run with North Herts Road Runners
  • Personal training & fitness with Wild Training and Very Personal Training
  • Ballet by Hitchin Russian Ballet School

As well as the demo's on the bandstand, there will be plenty of stall to keep you amused:

  • Facepainting by Little Rascals
  • Sport clothing from What Sarah Did
  • Gait analysis by Elite Support
  • Chiropractic screening with the Spine & Wellness Centre
  • Zhumba with Bronte Thornley
  • Weight Watchers
  • Kinetic Cycles
  • Oh, and did I mention, there'll be massage by me?

Finally, and arguably, most importantly there'll be food from:

  • Health & Happiness
  • Chia Vegan Cafe
  • Cantina Carnitas

So come and join us on Saturday 1st August, in Bancroft Gardens Hitchin, any time during the day.
